Banksia Root Ring - Silver

The Banksia Root ring has an intricately carved open structure—bold yet unexpectedly delicate. The clustered openings echo the seed chambers of the banksia, a plant that relies on fire and rain to awaken new growth; the surface catches light and shadow as the ring moves. The sculptural hand-carved band tapers towards the back for a comfortable, secure fit.

"Years ago, I carved a similar, oversized one-off ring; it couldn’t be molded, but it never left my mind. This version revisits that idea in a more wearable form—light on the hand, rich in texture. The band was reimagined as a tangle of roots winding around the finger."

FAQs
Is it comfortable despite the scale? Yes—the band tapers towards the back for an easy, secure fit.

Will the oxidized black color change? Yes—the recess areas will stay dark but the more you wear the ring, the more you will burnish and brighten the outer edges with your touch. It will develop more depth as it's worn, but I'm happy to re-oxidize it anytime.
