Banksia Lace Ring - Yellow Bronze

A dramatic and comfortable statement ring, hand-carved in wax and then cast in yellow bronze. The form wraps the finger in an open lace-like structure inspired by the Australian banksia pod and by mushrooms growing off the side of a tree. Made to be worn on any finger, but most comfortable on the index finger, the ring carries presence without weight.

Cast in yellow bronze using the lost-wax method, the ring begins as a wax model hand-carved at the bench. The highly polished edges create a striking contrast with the textured interior. Yellow bronze develops a warm patina over time with wear.
