Bell Pod & Mosaic Design Series
Eucalyptus trees fill the canyon where I hike and the ground is always covered with their delicious-smelling leaves and pods. I collect interesting specimens and their unique characteristics often find their way into my carvings. Direct castings with subtle adjustments have evolved into more abstract, sculptural designs. The Bell Pod Hair Stick and Bell Pod Bangle are some of the original pieces and the collection grew into the architectural Mosaic series with pieces like the Mosaic Ring and Mosaic Hinge Bracelet. Reminiscent of ancient structures or overgrown gates weathered by time, these pieces are a mix of Gustav Klimt and Brutalist architecture- organic, verdant and alive.
