Banksia Medallion Earrings - Silver

The Banksia medallions are hand-carved in wax and then cast. The carving is inspired by the Australian banksia pod, and the abstract medallion shape resembles an ancient coin. So tactile and elegant that they dangle lightly from silver hooks and appear to be floating. The light and airy design packs a strong visual impact.

Cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method, each earring begins as a wax model hand-carved at the bench. The medallions hang from sterling silver ear wires, allowing them to swing freely as the head moves. The silver register reads cooler than its bronze counterpart, the polished surface catching light along the carved relief.
