This one-of-a-kind double-strand lapis necklace is built as a sculptural collar with an elegant drape. The lapis panels are left raw on the face, holding a textured, timeworn surface, while the reverse is polished and sits smooth against the skin. Saturated blue lapis plays against warm yellow bronze, anchored by the Corallite Bead, hand-carved for the Deep Ocean Design Series. Its form is drawn from a corallite, the skeletal cup of a stony coral polyp, with shared walls and deep grooves where verdigris can gather and deepen over time.
