Banksia Lace Ring - Silver

An extraordinary statement ring featuring an open, lace-like design that wraps elegantly around the finger. Hand-carved in wax and then cast in sterling silver, the form was inspired by the Australian banksia pod and by mushrooms growing off the side of a tree. Original and highly wearable, the ring carries presence without weight.

Cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method, the ring begins as a wax model hand-carved at the bench. The highly polished organic edges give the piece a smooth, luxurious feel against the finger. Available with or without black oxidation; the oxidized version offers a moody matte gray finish with subtle hints of bright silver along the edges.

Which finger should this ring be worn on?
The ring can be worn on any finger, but is designed to feel most comfortable on the index finger, where its wider top profile sits naturally.

Should I choose the oxidized or non-oxidized finish?
The oxidized finish offers a moody matte gray with subtle hints of bright silver along the edges. The non-oxidized version reads brighter and emphasizes the open lacework. Both will mellow naturally with wear.
